Groundbreaking ceremony of highway 1A expansion project from Km672+600 to Km 704+900 across Quang Binh

The Build-Operation-Transfer (BOT) project to expand Highway 1A in Quang Binh has a total length of around 33km with an investment of nearly VND1,000 billion by the investor of Truong Thinh Group. The project is expected to be completed by 2015.

Once being completed and put into use, the project will be an important motivating force for the province to expand trade exchange, investment promotion and socio-economic development and to minimize traffic accident.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai stressed the importance of highway 1A expansion project across Quang Binh province to socio-economic development of the province.

Chairman Hoai also suggested the Ministry of Transport directs investors and contractors to speed up the progress and ensure construction quality to meet the project's deadlines.

On the side of the province, Chairman promised the province would closely coordinate with relevant agencies and units to create favorable conditions for the project to quickly complete and put into use.
