Accordingly, the Cartias Switzerland in Vietnam provided a support of USD50,023 for Quang Luu commune (Quang Trach district) to implement the project of resuming livelihoods and comprehensive functional rehabilitation.

The project focuses on helping livelihoods for 46 flood-hit poor households; building and reparing toilets meeting standards, installing a system of water reserves for 30 poor households; providing with classroom equipment for the Quang Luu Kindergarten.

In addition, the project will also organise many training courses to improve the people's awareness of environmental sanitation, agricultural production skills, community-based risk management and disaster adaptation, etc.

The project will be implemented in 2017.

The project's objective is to resume and stabilize agricultural production, improve living standards for flood-hit poor households, especially families having children with disabilities at the targeted communes.

he project also increase the ability of residents on functional rehabilitation and community-based disaster risk reduction, aiming to minimize negative effects while strengthening disaster adaptability.

The Provincial People's Committee asked the the Association for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (AEPD) and related units and localities to receive and use source of aid effectively in accordance with the State's regulations.
