Attending the event was Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai; Deputy Head of the Viet Nam Sports Administration Tran Duc Phan; provincial leaders, visitors and local people.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee granted the souvenir flags to volleyball teams at the tournament.

The event featured 32 women's and men's teams from across the country.

The tournament is part of activities to mark celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975–2017) and the 131st anniversary of Labor Day (May 1, 1886-2017).

The tournament aims to develop beach volleyball nationwide and is a chance for players to hone their skills and gain experience.

This is also a bridge to introduce and popularize culture, people and tourism of Quang Binh to domestic and foreign tourists, especially potential and values of sea tourism, aiming to send a message to visitors: After the sea environmental incidents in 2016, Quang Binh sea is currently safe; tourism activities and fishery services are exciting again.

The tournament will end on April 23.
