Representative of provincial leader presents gifts and gives Tet greetings to Lao officials and students who are working and studing in Quang Binh province on the occasion of the Lao traditional Bunpimay New Year

Bunpimay is a New Year traditional festival of the Lao people, which takes place annually on April 13-15 with various traditional rituals such as bathing Buddha, splashing water, binding threads on participants’ wrists to bring luck, freshness, prosperity, happiness.

At the meeting, representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Quang Binh University shared difficulties and challenges with Lao students when living and studying abroad, sent New Year greetings and encouraged them to overcome the difficulties in materials and spirit to learn well.

The meeting aimed to create the jubilant atmosphere for Lao students studying in Quang Binh to enjoy their new year traditional festival, encourage the spirit of Lao students to get good results in study.

This was a good opportunity for Lao students to meet and exchange experience in their life and study as well as introduce Lao culture, contributing to promoting the close relationship of the two nation and developing good relationships between the two peoples of Vietnam and Lao.

On this occasion, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Quang Binh University presented 210 gifts to Lao students and hoped they would be a bridge for friendship activities and contribute to building the traditional friendship between the two countries.

The Embassy of Laos in Vietnam also presented 10 scholarships to Lao students who gained excellent achievements in study and movements.
