Senior delegation of Quang Binh province visits and workd in Khammouane province, Laos

The Quang Binh's delegation was warmly welcomed by Governor of Khammouane Province Oday Sudaphon and high-ranking officials of Khammouane province.

The two sides had a talk in Thakhek town on March 29th morning.

At the talk, the two sides informed each other of socio-economic development, national defence - security, the building of the Party, authorities, fronts and unions of each province. The two sides also evaluated the implementation of the Memmorandum of Understanding signed in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province on March 27th, 2016.

In the past time, under the leading of the Party Committee and authorities of the two provinces, socio-economic situation of each province has developed, the people's life has been improved, national defence and security has been maintained, foreign affairs have been boosted, friendly and comprehensive cooperative relations between the two provinces have developed and expanded.

In discussions, the two sides agreed to continue promoting propaganda and education on friendly tradition and special solidarity between the two nations, two Parties and two States of Vietnam and Laos in general and two provinces of Quang Binh and Khammouane in particular.

The two sides agreed to quickly complete procedures to supplement the Road No.12 and the Cha Lo - Na Phau Border Gate into GMS - CBTA Convention; upgraded the Road No.20 via the Ca Roong - Noong Ma Border Gate, ensuring convenient transport between the two provinces and two countries.

The two provinces continue facilitating to implement the project of building a bonded warehouse and an oil pipeline from Hon La port to Khammouane province"; maintaining and improving effectiveness of coach routes from Donghoi to Thakhek and Donghoi - Thakhek - Vientiane; strengthening cooperation on conservation and promoting values of biodiversity in the world's heritage site, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and the Hin Nam No Biodiversity Conservation Area.

Quang Binh province continues receiving the training of 20 students of Khammouane province to study in Quang Binh University in the 2017-2018 academic year; training and fostering Vietnamese and professional skills for some cadres of Khammouane province.

The two provinces also continue periodic exchanges between border delegations and the departments of military, public security and border guards, aiming to share experience, sign and implement cooperation between the sides.
