Working with the national management board of GMS Sustainable Tourism Development Project

(Quang Binh Website) - The provincial People's Committee on March 14 held a meeting with a mission of the national management board of the Greater Mekong Subregion Sustainable Tourism Development Project (STDP) on implementation of the project in 2013. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung chaired the meeting.

According to the report of the Project Management Board, the project has so far reached USD765,753 of total value of reimbursement.

The board started construction of four projects, including Chay Lap Homestay, Chay Lay boat station, building the road to garbage dump and repairing the entrance of Tien Son Cave.

Besides, the board organized 242 training courses and workshops; handed over equipment package to the Phong Nha - Ke Bang Tourism Center and 08 tourist boats which are made of composite.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman highly valued the obtained results of the project in the past time and asked relevant agencies and localities to have a close combination to implement the project as scheduled plan.
