Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Hungary to Vietnam visits Quang Binh

(Quang Binh Website) - A Hungarian mission led by Ms. Torda Eszter, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Hungary to Vietnam and her experts on water paid a working visit to Quang Binh province on March 9-10.

During this trip, ambassador and her experts carried out a survey of water supply and the use of fresh water in Son Hoa and Dong Hoa communes (Tuyen Hoa district) to take effective solutions to repair contaminated water, contributing to improving the local people's life.

Then, the Hungarian mission also attended the groundbreaking ceremony of domestic water supply project of Quang Trach district. This project is funded by the mixed credit capital of Hungarian government to supply domestic water for 22 communes along Gianh River of Quang Trach district with a total investment of nearly EUR23 million.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms Torda Eszter affirmed a long-term relationship and tight cooperation between Hungary and Vietnam during the past time and stressed that Hungarian government will create all conditions to support and assist Vietnam in general and Quang Binh in particular in building fresh water projects, contributing to improving the people's life

Working with the Provincial Women's Union

Hungarian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary also had a working session with the Quang Binh Provincial Women's Union. At the session, ambassador briefly introduced about the development and role of technology in cleaning source of water in Hungary and exchanged views on water as well as its benefits. She also stressed the role of women to the protection and use of source of water.

Ambassador also promised to consider suggestions made by the provincial Women's Union for vocational training, legal assistance and healthcare projects for women.
