Photo exhibition marks Dien Bien Phu Victory

(Quang Binh Website) - On the occasion of 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954), a photo exhibition entitled “Dien Bien Phu – A Glorious Epic” was opened at General Vo Nguyen Giap’s last resting place in Vung Chua – Dao Yen, Quang Dong Commune, Quang Trach District, Quang Binh province on May 4.

The event was jointly organised by the Photograph Magazine in coordination with the Photo Centre and the War Veterans’ Association of the Vietnam News Agency.

The exhibition aims to respect the glorious feat of arms made by the Vietnamese people and soldiers in the Dien Bien Phu Victory under the leadership and the command of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh and the late General Vo Nguyen Giap.


The exhibition has attracted thousands of visitors

A collection of sixty photos have been displayed along the road to General Vo Nguyen Giap’s grave, giving visitors an insightful glimpse into the history of the Dien Bien Phu Battle from the beginning to the end, the General’s patriotic passion and dedication, particularly his comprehensive military, political, scientific and cultural talents.

The exhibition will last through May 14. The photos will then be presented to Quang Binh province.
