The Provincial People's Committee Vice-chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai and leading representatives of related departments and branches attended.

In 2007, industrial production value in the whole province achieved VND 2,310 billion, equaling to 98.14% of the plan and increased by 23% compared with the same period of 2006. Of which, State industry achieved VND 1,422 billion, increased by 26%, foreign-invested industry reached VND60 billion, increased by 18% and non-state industry achieved VND827 billion, increased by 18% against the same period of 2006.

A lot of big changes have been seen in industry investment promotion. Many big projects have been begun the construction, contributing to promoting the province's socio - economic development. With obtained achievements in industrial production, the sector actively took part in implementing its obligation to the State. Regarding industry encouragement, the Department of Industry in coordination with related departments and branches carried out the inspection and sponsored for 26 projects for production development, 4 projects for vocational training and so on. Total investment was estimated at VND 1,223 million.

In order to well implement obtained targets of the plan in 2008, the Department of Industry will focus on investment in building infrastructure and services for industry development; supervise and speed up localities to deploy the implementation of master plan for industry - handicraft development through 2010 and 2015. Strengthen work of propaganda, approve and recognize traditional professions and villages for organizations and localities in order to honor and encourage them to promote production development.

Addressing the meeting, Vice-chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai praised the achievements that the sector obtained in the past time and requested that the sector need to regularly oversee and coordinate with the related departments and branches to overcome the shortcomings, striving to complete the obtained targets.
