This is a project financed by the European Commission through management and coordination of the Support to the Renovation of Education Management (SREM) Project. Its total investment capital is EUR14.2 million, of which EUR12 million from European Commission contribution and EUR2.2 million from the Government of Vietnam. The project will be estimated to implement in four years (2006-2010) in 64 provinces and cities, of which 17 especially difficult provinces will be directly supported.

Quang Binh is one of seventeen provinces in the whole country granted investment capital. Its objective is to strengthen education management training system at central to local level, improve and upgrade management system and supply equipments of technology information and communications for the schools in specially difficult areas, far-flung and remote areas.

The Support to the Renovation of Education Management (SREM) Project will be implemented within 20 months and terminated in July 2009 with total invested capital of EUR 99,613.19 (roughly about VND 2.3 billion). The project will be carried out in 29 communes with 59 schools in six districts of Tuyen Hoa, Minh Hoa, Quang Trach, Bo Trach, Quang Ninh and Le Thuy.
