16th Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2008-2013 term ended

(Quang Binh Website) - After three working days, the 16th Quang Binh provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2008-2013 term ended on August 21 morning.

Among the attendees were Mr Mai Xuan Thu, Head of Public relations Department of the Provincial Party Committee and representative of departments and branches in the province.

At the Congress, delegates heard and discussed reports of the Executive Board of the 15th Provincial Trade Union, evaluated the implementation of Resolution of the 15th Provincial Trade Union Congress (2003-2008) and put forward orientations, targets, tasks and solutions for the 2008-2013 term. With the spirit of high responsibility, delegates contributed many ideas and solutions for implementing the targets and programs of the provincial trade union in the 2008-2013 term.

The Executive Board of the 16th Quang Binh Provincial Trade Union

The Congress voted and passed the targets of trade unions for the 16th term. 100% of delegates highly agreed on programs, objectives and targets from now to 2013. The Congress voted for the Executive Board of the 16th Provincial Trade Union, including 35 people and the delegation to attend the 10th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, including six main delegates and one alternate delegate. In the first session held on August 20 evening, the Executive Board of the 16th Provincial Trade Union voted the Standing Committee, including 11 people. Mr Le Thuan Van was elected chairman of the 16th Provincial Labor Union for the 2008-2013 term.

On behalf of the Executive Board of the 16th Provincial Trade Union, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union Le Thuan Van promised to make every effort for movements of the provincial trade unions, bring into play the democracy, intelligence, solidarity and renovation to implement the success of the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Trade Union Congress. Chairman Le Thuan Van appealed to the laborers, public servants and the provincial trade unions at all levels to agree on the awareness and action; seize opportunities, overcome difficulties, to be determined to build the working class, build a strong union, becoming a key force in the process of industrialization and modernization.
