A meeting on establishment of Small and medium-sized Enterprises Association

(Quang Binh Website) - A meeting on establishment of the Association of small and medium-sized Enterprises (term 2008-2013) was held at the meeting hall of the Dong Hoi City People’s Committee Office on October 2.

Attending the meeting were Permanent Vice-chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai; representative of the Provincial Standing Committee of the Party, Standing People’s Council and People’s Committee Secretariat; leaders of departments and branches and 100 representatives of the provincial enterprises.

The Association of Small and medium-sized Enterprises was established according to Decision No.1215/QD-UBND, dated June 5 2008 of the Provincial People’s Committee, aiming at assembling, associating, supporting and assisting each other to improve production and business effectiveness and help enterprises develop sustainably and enrich legitimately. So far, more than 160 enterprises have registered to be official members of the Association.

The goal in the coming time is that the Association will continuously co-ordinate with functional sectors to build and supplement mechanism and policies in order to create a favorable investment and business environment for enterprises; take the initiative in putting forward a great many ideas to be able to join in the province’s socio-economic development projects and programs, foreign-invested projects and non-governmental projects; reinforce contribution of enterprise community to the process of industrialization and modernization of the country; implement four major economic programs of the province, contributing to solving jobs and improving income for the laborers, furthering poverty-alleviation work in all localities.

The meeting unanimously elected Permanent Vice-chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai to be Chairman of the Association (term 2008-2013). Moreover, five Vice-chairmen and twenty-seven members were also elected in the executive board of the Association.
