Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee has focused on directing all levels, branches and localities to carry out solutions, aiming at implementing the success of the socio-economic development plan for 2009. Despite of meeting many difficulties in product consumption, the business and production units have actively carried out production from the beginning of the year. The industrial production value has still remained a fair growth rate; export turnover has achieved US$2.5 million, equal to 79.1% against the same period. The number of visitors to tourist sites in Quang Binh has increased, estimated to achieve 30.6 thousand people, up to 6.2% compared with same period. National defence and security, social safety and order have been consolidated. Giving a closing speech at the meeting, Province Chairman Phan Lam Phuong asked departments and branches to focus on the implementation of the socio-economic development task and promoting export development. The Department of Industry and Trade was entrusted with the responsibility of supervising and speeding up business and production units. The Department of Agriculture was assigned with the responsibility of directing farmers to take care of Spring-winter rice crop. He also directed localities to strengthen solutions to prevent epidemic diseases for the poultry and cattle, develop the acquaculture and encourage the people in expanding the models of breeding, promoting economic development in the localities. Besides, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong also asked related departments to speed up the capital construction investment projects; focus on accelerating the progress of implementing key projects, ensuring the people's travelling.
