Attending the ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Van Dang, member of the Central Communist Party Committee; Mr. Le Duong Quang, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Mr. Luong Ngoc Binh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of related departments and localities together with representatives of consultative units, business partners and subsidiary companies of the Linh Thanh Group.

Inauguration ceremony of the high-quality Calcium Carbonate production project

The project is invested by the Linh Thanh Quang Binh Joint-stock Company under the Linh Thanh Group. The project has a total area of 88.35 ha, of which, 75 ha for survey and exploitation, 13.35ha for the plant and river port. The project has a total investment of USD56 million and will be executed in two phases. The first phase has a designed production capacity of 230,000 ton/ a year with a total investment of USD23 million and the second phase will bring the capacity up to 930,000 ton/a year with a total investment of USD33 million.

Under the plan, the plant will start pilot production in August 2011. Once putting into operation, it will be expected to provide jobs to about 300-500 laborers and pay about VND100 billion a year to local budget.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the leaders highly appreciated the efforts made by the Linh Thanh Quang Binh Company and suggested that the Company need to ensure the quality and progress of project implementation and quickly put it into operation, contributing to promoting socio-economic development of locality.
