Attending the meeting were representatives of relevant agencies, the Center for Land Fund Development and the Project Management Board; leaders of the City People's Committee and relevant communes and wards.

The Dong Hoi city environmental sanitation project has completed its first phase on schedule and met the set requirements of quality. Under a signed credit agreement, the project will be additionally provided USD40.66 million for the second phase, raising a total capital for second phase to USD78.5 million to basically complete drainage system in Dong Hoi city.

In order to realize the project as the schedule, the project management board urgently carries out a series of components on solid management and 13 contract packages under 2 components on building a waste treatment station in Duc Ninh commune and a system of rain water and waste water drainage. However, the packages haven't been so far carried out because of some difficulties in adjusting some drainage system and site clearance...

Addressing the meeting, PPC Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Xuan Quang highlighted the importance of the project to upgrading Dong Hoi city to grade-II urban area by 2015. He also highly evaluated the efforts made by the Project Management Board and the City People's Committee in the progress of implementing the project's first phase and asked all relevant units and localities to try their best to successfully implement the project's second phase.

Vice Chairman assigned the Department of Construction in coordination with relevant units to solve difficulties in the past time, contributing to speeding up the progress of implementing the project on schedule.
