Quang Binh builds 100 safe shelters against flooding for poor households
(Quang Binh province) - Quang Binh province has recently decided to build 100 shelters against flooding for poor households in Tan Ninh commune of Quang Ninh district and Quang Tien commune of Quang Trach district.
These are two communes in Quang Binh province that have low topography and are frequently influenced by flood seasons in the five recent years.
Beneficiaries are poor households according to the new poverty line applied for the period 2011 – 2015.
Each household will be given a support of VND10 million from Central budget and a maximum loan of VND10 million with a preferential interest of 3 percent a year. The remaining are contributions of households and donation from other sources of capital.
As estimated, the pilot implementation of building 100 shelters against flooding in Quang Binh province will complete before March of 2013.
