At the reception, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee briefly informed of socio-economic results of the province and cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general, Quang Binh and Khammouane, Savannakhet in particular.

He also expressed his hope that two sides will further tighten the solidarity and friendship between Quang Binh and the sister Laotian localities as well as create all best conditions to develop much more and bring about more positive results in the forthcoming time.

In response, the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang thanked a warm reception of the province and hoped that Vietnam and Laos will uphold the tradition of solidarity and strengthen the close friendship and cooperation, contributing to promoting socio-economic development of each locality.

He also expressed his hope that Quang Binh province will create condition and help the Lao consulate in Da Nang fulfil its tasks in the forthcoming time.

On this occasion, the Lao Consulate General wished authorities and people of Quang Binh a happy New Year.
