Complete 58/61 landmarks on Viet-Lao borderline

Under the plan, Quang Binh province has a responsibility to coordinate with Khammouane and Savanakhet provinces (Lao DPR) to build 61 landmarks on Viet-Lao borderline. So far, the province has completed construction of 58 out of 61 landmarks.
Implementing the project on embellishing the Viet-Lao border landmark system, in 2012, two sides also carried out seven bilateral surveys to define location of landmarks and build eight landmarks, reaching 75% of the plan.
Addressing the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Tuan, head of the Steering Committee on Border Demarcation and Landmark Planting highly valued the efforts of the investor and units. He also assigned specific tasks for relevant departments and branches with a focus on accelerating the progress of the project and paying attention to the quality of payment and check-up of the buildings. Relevant units and investor should have a close combination to effectively implement landmark planting, striving to complete the plan for landmark planting as scheduled, stressed Vice chairman Tuan.
