Under the plan, the event will include a range of activities such as a press conference to introduce the plan for organizing the 10th anniversary of Phong Nha - Ke Bang recognized as world natural heritage site and Quang Binh Cave Festival in 2013; an international scientific workshop to preserve and uphold global scientific values of world natural heritage site, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park - a new vision; shooting a documentary film titled "10-year Quang Binh tourism after the day of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park recognized as world natural heritage site by UNESCO"; a photo exhibition on Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park; a contest on preserving and upholding values of world natural heritage site, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park; especially a meeting to mark 10th anniversary of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park recognized as world natural heritage site.

In the framework of the anniversary, the organizing board will also organize a series of cultural activities namely letting out flower garlands and coloured lanterns on Son River in memory of heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland; opening some new tourist routes; Quang Binh tourism and trade fair 2013; music programs and sport activities. The event will be expected to organize throughout the year, especially in April and May of 2013.
