The 35th National Television Festival closes

(Quang Binh Portal) - The 35th National Television Festival closed on December 19 in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province with 27 gold awards, 56 silver ones, and 136 certificates of merit being awarded to outstanding works and producers.


Provincial Party Committee awards prize to excellent works

The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Hoang Dang Quang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoai, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Pham Viet Tien, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television and others.

This year's festival has brought together over 100 television production units with 478 works that will complete for prizes in nine categories including children's programs, documentaries, reports, science and education programs, exchange - dialogue - talk shows, programs in ethnic minority languages, music and TV film series. The works have fully reflected various aspects of society.

According to the jury, the entries reflected the country’s political, economic, cultural and social achievements over the past years; as well as honoured exemplary models during the process of building new culture, hunger alleviation, poverty reduction and disaster recovery, and in the fight against corruption and the cause of national security and social safety protection.

Addressing at the closing ceremony, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, Chairman of the 35th National Television Festival Pham Viet Tien said this year’s festival saw many documentary entries receiving the highest grade of ten.


Chairman of the provincial People's Committee grants prize to outstanding works

At the closing ceremony, the 35th National Television Festival awarded 27 gold prizes, 56 silver ones, and 136 certificates of merit to outstanding works and producers in nine categories. Besides, one first prize, two second ones, three third ones and four consolation ones were awarded to excellent works at photo exhibition "television workers".

The Best Director award went to Luong Minh Duc from VTC Digital Television with his documentary film entitled ‘Mother, I'm Back’. Meanwhile, Meritorious Artist Hoang Yen and Viet Anh won the Best Actress and Best Actor awards respectively.

In particular, the 35th National Television Festival granted data system of Son Doong Cave (including images, video and figures) to Quang Binh province. This date sytem was collected and mapped out by Vietnam Television with a high fidelity.

The 36th National Television Festival will take place in Lao Cai province at the end of December, 2016.
