35th National Television Festival opens in Quang Binh
The event was attended by Ms. Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Deputy Director Public Relations of the Central Committee; Mr. Truong Minh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; Mr. Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Minister of Culture - Sport and Tourism.
On the side of Quang Binh province, there were Mr. Tran Cong Thuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoai, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee together with members of the Standing Committees of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committtee and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. International guests from Laos, Cambodia, South Korea and Netherlands together with more than 1,000 television workers across the country were aslo present at the event.
Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television beats drum to open the 35th National Television Festival
The opening ceremony of this year's festival showed special art performances in praise of local culture, the land and people of Quang Binh. Besides, the reportages reflecting the atmosphere on the threshold of the festival, work of preparations and other related activities were also performed alternately.
The Organizing Board offers flowers to examiners of the 35th National Television Festival
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, Chairman of the Festival Pham Viet Tien emphasised that the 35th Vietnam Television Festival would discover and honour the most outstanding works for television in 2015.
He also said that the festival would contribute to inspiring, nurturing and promoting the creative values of television workers around the country, creating motivation for them to produce better programmes to serve viewers.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee speaks at the ceremony
On behalf of provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked Vietnam Television for selection of Quang Binh where is the host for the 35th National Television Festival. Chairman expressed his hope that Quang Binh will make a good impression on delegates and television workers during the festival.
An art performances at the opening ceremony for the 35th National Television Festival
As part of the event, there will be a number of seminars, exhibitions and exchanges aims to promote the creation in producing the television programs from December 17 to 19, 2015.
This year's festival brings together over 100 television production units with around 476 works that will compete for prizes in nine categories including children’s programs, documentaries, reports, science and education programs, exchange - dialogue - talk shows, programs in ethnic minority languages, music and TV film series.
The submissions will be screened free of charge at Muong Thanh Luxury hotel on December 16-18.
