Quang Binh Department of Industry and Trade receives State Honour
Attending the ceremony was Mr. Phan Lam Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leader of related departments and branches together with representatives of industrial and commercial enterprises in the provincial area.
At the ceremony, representative of the Quang Binh Department of Industry and Trade reported about its obtained achievements in 2008 and first eight months of 2009. Despite of meeting the effects of global economic recession, activities in industrial and commercial production have remained a fair growth rate against the same period, many economic targets achieved and exceed the assigned plan like: industrial production value increased by 20.2% in 2008 and 18% in the first eight months of 2009; export turnover in 2008 achieved US$62 million, exceeded 14.4% of the plan, increased by 7.6%; import turnover was estimated at US$23 million, achieved 100% of the plan... Besides, many enterprises were awarded Labor Medal and many noble titles by the Party and the State, such as: Ha Noi - Quang Binh Beer Company, Petroleum Company and Electricity Company...

In order to acknowledge the great efforts of the unit in the past time, the Prime Minister promulgated the Decision to award the Emulation Flag to the Quang Binh Department of Industry and Trade for fulfilling its tasks, leading in the movement of patriotic emulation in 2008; awarded Third-class Labor Medal to Mr. Mai Van Nhi, Deputy Director of the Quang Binh Department of Industry and Trade for his brilliant achievements, contributing to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade also made a Decision to grant the campaign medal for the cause of development of Vietnam’s Industry and Trade to 156 individuals for their contributions to the development of the Industry and Trade sector.
On this occasion, leader of the Quang Binh Department of Industry and Trade launched the emulation movement in order to strive for fulfilling the targets of year 2009, prepare for building and implementing the plan for year 2010, contributing to completing the target of the province’s five-year socio-economic development plan (2006-2010).
