Minh Hoa district’s 20th reestablishment anniversary
Permanent Vice-chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Dinh Minh Thu, Permanent Vice-chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Cong Thuat, Secretary of the Dong Hoi City Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Quang, leaders of departments and branches at provincial level, heroic Vietnamese mothers, hero of the people’s armed forces and representatives of enterprises, organizations and units in the district attended the anniversary.

Minh Hoa district was reestablished on July 1st, 1990 according to Decision No.190/QD/HDBT (Government) adjusting administrative border, dividing Tuyen Hoa district into two districts of Tuyen Hoa and Minh Hoa.
After over 20 years of building and developing, the Party Committee and people of Minh Hoa district have incessantly strived for making full use of its available potentials and the Government’s support to make a breakthrough in all fields. So far, the district’s agro-forestry and fishery production value has achieved VND65,590 million, up to 234% in comparison with the same period of 1990; an average food output has achieved 10,736 tonnes; an average income per capital has achieved VND6 million a year; 16/16 communes and wards has covered national grid; infrastructure has been paid attention to synchronous investment; rate of poor households has reduced by 35.56% (in comparison with 80% in 1990).

Addressing the anniversary, Permanent Vice-chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee warmly praised the results of the Party Committee and people of Minh Hoa district obtained in the past 20 years and stressed that the district’s leader need to specify a right direction for investment and development to promote its economic structure shift and to quickly bring the district to escape poverty.
The gained achievements in 20 years of reestablishment will be an important premise for the Party Committee and people of Minh Hoa to continuously develop.
