Focus on solving difficulties for aquaculture enterprises

(Quang Binh Website) - On December 18, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to review production and business of aquaculture enterprises in the province. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Tuan presided over the meeting.

In 2012, the province has a total area under aquaculture production of 5,052 ha, of which 283 ha for raising sugpo prawn and 899 ha for white leg shrimp. In the past time, however, aquaculture enterprises have coped with a lot of difficulties in their production and business; epidemic diseases have happened complicatedly with a total area of infected shrimps of 186.91 ha.

At the meeting, representatives of some enterprises in Bo Trach, Dong Hoi and Quang Ninh reported on their production situation for raising shrimp on sand and put forward a great many ideas to solve difficulties in production and business for provincial aquaculture enterprises in 2013.

Addressing the meeting, Vice Chairman Tran Van Tuan praised the efforts made by all levels, agencies and localities to direct and take effective measures to improve production and business for aquaculture enterprises in the province.

He also higly valued the efforts made by aquaculture enterprises to overcome difficulties in production and business.

Vice Chairman Tuan also assigned specific tasks to relevant agencies to find specific solutions to solve difficulties for aquaculture enterprises, especially shrimp raising farms.
