Signing ceremony on cooperation agreement between Quang Binh and Nakhon Phanom

(Quang Binh Website) - Upon the invitation of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh Province, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the senior delegation of Nakhon Phanom province – Kingdom of Thailand, led by Mr. Boonsanong Boonmee– Governor of Nakhon Phanom province, Thailand paid an official visit to Quang Binh province from the 1st to the 3rd June, 2008.

In the framework of the official visit to Quang Binh province, the senior delegation of Nakhon Phanom province had a conference on cooperation with the senior delegation of Quang Binh on June 02, 2008.

Attending the conference, on the side of Nakhon Phanom province, there was Mr. Boonsanong Boonmee -Governor of Nakhon Phanom province, Nakhon Phanom delegation leader, and the senior officials from the Nakhon Phanom province. On the side of Quang Binh province, there was Mr. Phan Lam Phuong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Quang Binh, Directors of related departments and branches, Rector of Quang Binh University and press agencies in the whole province.

Addressing the conference, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong applauded the friendship visit of the senior delegation of Nakhon Phanom province and stressed that this visit played an important role in boosting friendship relations and comprehensive cooperation between two sides. He highly appreciated the cooperation in all aspects between two provinces in the past time and hoped that two provinces would continuously promote the cooperation friendship relation in all fields in the future, creating favorable conditions to utilize fully the potentials and advantages of each side, contributing to socio-economic development.

Mr. Boonsanong Boonmee - the Governor of Nakhon Phanom province expressed sincere thanks for the hospitability of the leadership of Quang Binh and invited Mr. Phan Lam Phuong- the chairman of Quang Binh people's Committee together with senior delegation of Quang Binh province to pay an official visit to Nakhon Phanom, kingdom of Thailand in a reasonable time to discuss new cooperative orientations between two provinces in the future.

During the conference, the two delegations shared the current socio-economic situation of each province and also reviewed results of the cooperation between the two provinces over the past time and expected that the cooperation friendship relation between two provinces would be developed and broadened day by day in the economic, political, cultural and social fields.

At the same day, the signing ceremony on cooperation agreement between the delegation of Quang Binh (Vietnam) and the delegation of Nakhon Phanom (Thailand) was carried out. Under the cooperation agreement, two sides agreed the cooperation to promote joint venture, create favorable conditions for business enterprises to exchange and trade commodities, invest in the aspects including: construction material production industry, agricultural, forestry and fishery product processing industry and consume commodity product processing industry; transfer of the advanced and new technology of agricultural production. Coordinate to strengthen promotion of commerce, investment aiming at attracting investment and commerce exchange between the two provinces. Senior delegations of the two provinces should take turn to pay visits to each other to evaluate the undertaken results on the cooperation and set up objectives and tendency for cooperation in all aspects for the coming time. Coordinate to introduce, publicize and organize tourism tours, paths and destinations. Exchange cultural and artistic troupe in turns aiming at introduction of traditional customs, cultural and artistically specialties of the people of the two provinces. Strengthen exchange education for students between universities, especially education focusing on aspects, which have been promoting by the two provinces such as: tourism, trading, agriculture, industry and handicraft industry.
