Sacombank offers 40 scholarships for poor pupils in Quang Binh
(Quang Binh Website) - "Sacombank - Germination for dreams" scholarship is a periodic action programme of SaiGon Commercial Bank (Sacombank). This scholarship-giving program has been operated since 2004 nationwide, aiming to encourage poor-but-excellent pupils to pursue their study.
On occasion of the opening of the 2008-2009 academic year, Sacombank presented nearly 2,000 scholarships worth over VND2 billion for 12th grade pupils and students of economics, banking, medicine and pharmacy, financial accounting, information technology and language nationwide who have difficult circumstances but achieve good results in studying. The total scholarship expense of over VND2 billion was extracted from the welfare fund of Sacombank.
In this new academic year, Quang Binh province is offered 40 scholarships worth VND1 million each for poor but outstanding pupils of Quang Binh Gift high school, Bo Trach high school No.1, Quang Trach high school No.1 and Le Truc high school (Tuyen Hoa).
