Free medical check-up and medicine distribution to AO victims in Quang Hop commune (Quang Trach)
(Quang Binh Website) - On the occasion of the Day for Vietnamese AO Victims (August 10) and Action month for AO victims which will run from August 10 to September 10, the Provincial Red Cross Society in coordination with the Vietnam - Cu Ba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital has lately carried out a free medical check-up, medicine distribution and health consultancy for AO victims, disabled children and the elderly who have difficult circumstance in Quang Hop commune, Quang Trach district.
Quang Hop is an especially difficult commune of Quang Trach district; its rate of poor households makes up 67%. The whole commune has 77 disabled children, of which 13 AO victims. Because of difficult life, many local people have not been had enough condition to take care of health for themselves and their families.
In this phase, it was known that the doctors and nurses of the Vietnam - CuBa Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital carried out a free check-up and medicine distribution to 200 patients with the total value of more than VND10 billion. This was a meaningful activity to contribute to improving our sense of healthcare for local people.
