A meeting to implement a relief program of the Storm No.9 of the Vietnam Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross - Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)

(Quang Binh Website) - In the morning of November 24 2009, the Quang Binh Red Cross Society held a meeting to drill the implementation of a relief program of the Storm No.9 launched by the Vietnam Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross - Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

Attending the meeting was leaders of the Office of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of related agencies, People's Committees and Red Cross Societies of districts and communes in relief aid.

At the meeting, leader of the Provincial Red Cross presented main contents of the relief program. Accordingly, the relief program will be prolonged within 12 months and expected to complete in September 30, 2010 with the targets: food aid for 210,000 people; rebuilding houses and equipping with the fresh water and sanitation projects for 1,000 households in the heavily-damaged areas...

Representatives of the units also spent much time to discuss and exchange experience to contribute to implement well the relief program in the coming time.
