Working with DOHWA Group about the solar power battery project for mountainous villages of 10 communes in Quang Binh province

(Quang Binh Website) – On February 18, the Provincial People’s Committee held a working session with DOHWA Group about the solar power battery project for mountainous villages of 10 communes where the national grid does not reach. Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai presided over the meeting.

The working session was attended by Mr. Kwak Dar Geun, General Director of DOHWA Group together his working delegation and representative of related departments and branches.

The Project is funded by the Bank for Import-Export of South Korea with total investment of $15.572 million and implemented from 2011 to 2013. The project will supply electricity for 1.514 households in 55 mountainous villages of Le Thuy, Quang Ninh, Bo Trach and Minh Hoa districts.

At the working session, DOHWA Group also offered some suggestions for investment and cooperation in the coming time, including the urban city planning, the planning for development of seaport, environment, traffic, regenerative energy and so on.

Speaking at the working session, Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai expressed his thanks to DOHWA Group for investment in the solar power battery project for mountainous villages where the national grid does not reach, and highly evaluated the efficiency of the project to socio-economic development in benefited localities. Chairman affirmed that this was a highly feasible project because DOHWA Group has had many experiences in the field of solar energy supply. Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee undertook that the province would create all favorable conditions for DOHWA Group to implement the project, contributing to bringing source of sustainable energy to mountainous villages in far-flung and remote areas in Quang Binh province. The comrade also provided some information of the projects which are concerned by DOHWA Group.
