Granting ferry-boat for pupils along Gianh River
(Quang Binh Website) - The Vietnam Ao Dai Association and Tien Phong Newspaper have recently granted a ferry boat to the Study Encouragement Society of Quang Minh commune (Quang Trach).
This subscription has been launched by Tien Phong Newspaper to help 200 pupils in Quang Minh commune to go to school. The 14m long and 2.4m wide ferry boat has a capacity to transfer nearly 10 tons. The ferry boat has a total value of 80 million VND, of which the Vietnam Ao Dai Association donated VND50 million, the rest was contributed by sponsors and businesses.
The Study Encouragement Society of Quang Minh commune is assigned to manage and use ferry boat to transfer pupils to go to school.
Before, the Vietnam Ao Dai Association also granted 40 scholarships, worth VND500,000 each, to pupils in nine southern communes of Quang Trach district.
