The exhibition displays more than 200 lively sketches, such as “Uncle Ho’s statute on the top of the Truong Son mountain top”, “General Vo Nguyen Giap” and “Advancing to the South”.

Painter Le Duy Ung, 65 years old, was born in Quang Binh Province. He joined Vietnam People’s Army in 1971 and during the battle on April 28th, 1975, painter Le Duy Ung was seriously wounded in the eyes. During the life and death struggle, painter Ung thought of Uncle Ho so he used his fingers and blood from wounds to draw a portrait of Uncle Ho with an image of national flag, written “Light of belief! I pledge to scarify my youthfulness for you”. The portrait has touched hearts of various Vietnamese and foreign friends.
