Accordingly, over VND52 billion have invested in building a new rural area in the city and communes; of which VND51 billion spent on building infrastructures, VND586 million on developing agro-forestry-fishery models and over VND370 million on supporting for production development.

Communes have also mobilized hundreds of households to join hand in hand to build a new rural area with a total values of VND250 million.

Until now, there are a commune in the city fulfilling 17/19 national criteria for a new rural area, a commune fulfilling 14 criteria, three communes reaching 13 criteria and a commune reaching 10 criteria.
