At the reception, the Secretary of the Provincial Party's Committee briefly informed of socio-economic situation, national defence - security, building of political system and operation of the provincial War Veterans' Association to the Lao War Veterans' Association.

He hoped that two sides would further a close collaboration in all activities to tighten the friendship between Vietnam and Laos in general, Quang Binh and Khammouane as well as neighboring provinces in particular.

Secretary also expressed his thanks for assistances from the Lao government and people in seeking and gathering remains of martyrs, voluntary soldiers and Vietnamese experts who sacrificed in Laos during the war.

On behalf of the Lao War Veterans' Association, Vice Chairman of the Association thanked for warm reception of the Central Committee of Vietnam War Veterans' Association, leaders of Quang Binh province and the Provincial War Veterans' Association, hoping that in the forthcoming time, the friendship between Vietnam and Laos, Quang Binh and Khammouane would reach new heights.
