The ceremony was attended by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Dang Quang; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Tran Cong Thuat; Chairman of the VFF of Quang Binh province Tran Van Tuan; Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Quang together wiht representatives of departments and chairpersons of VFF of the districts, town and city in the province.

Leaders donated fund for the poor

According to the report of the provincial mobilisation board of "Day for the poor", as of September 30th, total fund for the poor at three levels has mobilised and received more than VND12 billion. From this source of fund, the province has built and upgraded houses for hundreds of poor households with a total money of over VND3 billion, helped more than 220 poor households develop production with over VND750 million and provided a free medical examination and treatment to thousands of poor people and children, etc.

In order to well implement the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction in 2016 and the VFF-launched campaign "The whole people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas”, VFF of Quang Binh province sent a message to call upon contributions to raise the fund for the poor in 2016.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee called on all people to help the poor

Addressing the ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee shared the losses and damages of flooded people in the latest days and sent deep thanks as well as acknowledged good deep and hearts of benefectors, orgranisations, and individuals inside and outside the province to actively raise the fund for the poor in the past time.

Secretary called on Vietnamese citizens, State agencies, enterprises, social organizations and individuals to raise the tradition of solidarity and mutual affection to provide material and spritual support for the poor, especially local people who are heavily affecting from the environmental incident, causing mass fish deaths and the last torrential rain and floods, contributing to overcoming difficulties and stabilising their life.

The units donated fund for the poor

After the launching ceremony, the State agencies and units donated cash and registerd supports with a total mobilisation of VND7 billion.
