VND1.050 billion urgently supported for localities to overcome damages caused by flood
Accordingly, Tuyen Hoa district will be given VND200 million, Ba Don town VND150 million, Bo Trach district VND150 million, Minh Hoa district VND150 million, Le Thuy district VND150 million, Quang Trach district VND100 million, Quang Ninh district VND100 million and Dong Hoi city VND50 million.
The Provincial Rescue Committee asked localities to timely distribute to beneficiaries in accordance to regulations, contributing to help the people in the flooded areas overcome difficulties and stablilize their lives.
Reportedly, the flood left 21 people dead, 01 missing and 13 injured; submerged 16 ships (02 cargo ships and 14 fishing boats) and missed 03 fishing boats.
Heavy rains and floods were also inundated more than 90,000 houses. Over 80% of schools and medical clinics was engulfed in water; many hectares of aquacultures and vegetables were damaged; thousands of cattles and poultries were swept out by floods; system of traffic across the Ho Chi Minh Highway, National Highway 12A and 1A, railway, rural roads, irrigational system and dykes were interrupted and destroyed due to the rapid increase in water level, bringing landslides and erosion.
