The People's Committee of Quang Tri Province Works with Capital A Group and T&T Group

On July 31, 2025, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien, chaired a working session with representatives from Capital A Group and T&T Group, who visited Quang Tri to explore its potential, strengths, and investment opportunities.

At the meeting, representatives of the two corporations discussed with local authorities the master planning and progress of the Quang Tri Airport project and Aviation Industry Complex; the airport’s role in the regional connectivity and logistics development strategy; as well as other advantages related to geographic location of Quang Tri province.

Capital A is a multinational corporation headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Group currently operates a network of low-cost airlines, including AirAsia, AirAsia Cambodia, Philippines AirAsia, Indonesia AirAsia, and Thai AirAsia. Since 2020, Capital A has accelerated its digital transformation to become a diversified conglomerate, expanding beyond aviation into fields such as e-commerce, logistics, digital services, and finance.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Le Duc Tien expressed hope that Capital A and T&T Group would consider investing in sectors where Quang Tri has competitive advantages, especially in the planning, orientation, and development of the Quang Tri Aviation Industry Complex; commercial aviation; aircraft maintenance and logistics services; e-commerce; industrial logistics development; tourism and services. He also shared information on the province’s investment potential and advantages following the official establishment of the newly merged Quang Tri Province on July 1, 2025.

The Vice Chairman emphasized that with its strategic location as a hub for Indochina trade, along with its synchronized infrastructure, Quang Tri is accelerating development - especially the Quang Tri Aviation Industry Complex with a comprehensive investment ecosystem and special investment mechanisms and policies. This opens up the opportunity for corporations to develop an aviation-logistics ecosystem in Viet Nam, connecting Malaysia, Laos, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
The province pledged to accompany investors in resolving challenges, facilitating access to current investment incentives, and will establish a task force to support the Groups during project implementation.

On the basis of complying with legal procedures and processes, the Vice Chairman requested that the investors coordinate with the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board and the Department of Construction to further complete the relevant documents. In response to the investors’ proposals, the province will consider forming an aviation-logistics service industrial park and proceed with adjusting the master plan to upgrade Quang Tri Airport in line with future development directions.
