The 2,400MW Quang Trach electricity centre project includes two power plants namely 1,200-MW Quang Trach 1 and 1,200-MW Quang Trach 2. The Prime Minister has assigned the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) to invest in the Quang Trach 1 electricity centre project for the 2010-2015 period. In order to mobilize source of capital and accelerate the project implementation progress, at the Vietnam-France Business Forum held in Hanoi on November 13, the PetroVietnam, the EPF Group and the JPAWORR Group signed an agreement to carry out construction of the Quang Trach 1 electricity plant with the mobilized capital of EUR1.5 billion.

It is known that on basis of building the Quang Trach 1 electricity plant, three groups will continue to make a financial contribution to implement the Quang Trach 2 electricity plant.
