Planning on construction of the South Ha Tinh and North Quang Binh region up to 2030

The South Ha Tinh and North Quang Binh region has geographical position from 17030' to 18020' N and from 105030' to 106030' E. The region embraces six administrative units namely Huong Khe, Cam Xuyen and Ky Anh districts of Ha Tinh province and Tuyen Hoa, Minh Hoa and Quang Trach districts of Quang Binh province.
This is a complex economic region which has a land-way and water-way system, convenient for economic and tourism development and has an important significance to security and national defence.
The planning on construction of the South Ha Tinh and North Quang Binh region up to 2030 puts forward to six strategies for regional development and orients economic space zoning, organize regional economic development, distribute network of social infrastructure and develop urban space and rural residential areas.
At the meeting, PPC Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Xuan Quang stressed the importance of the Planning on construction of the South Ha Tinh and North Quang Binh region to socio-economic development of Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces and the North Central region.
Vice Chairman said two provinces need to upgrade system of Vung Ang and Hon La seaports and the Trans-Asian Road to create a connection in international trade activities; strengthen development of industrial parks and auxiliary industries such as seaport logistic services, building materials, mineral processing and petrochemistry.
