Quang Binh and BIDV jointly held a conference of potential investors

(Quang Binh Website) - The Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) jointly held a conference of potential investors in Ha Noi on March 19.

The event was an activity to prepare for the 1st conference on investment promotion of Quang Binh province earlier next month.

Attending the event, there were Mr. Luong Ngoc Binh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Council's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of related departments and branches. On the side of BIDV, there were Mr. Phan Duc Tu, General Director of BIDV and leading representatives of BIDV and its branch in Quang Binh. Especially, the event drew participation of more than 20 international and local enterprises and organizations.

This was a good opportunity for Quang Binh province to introduce about its potentials and strengths as well as projects calling for investment to both domestic and foreign investors.

In the 2014-2015 period, Quang Binh will focus on calling for investment in 40 key projects in six highly competitive fields, including investment in infrastructure, especially in industrial zones, trade - tourism development, industrial production, agriculture, culture, healthcare and education. Of which, the province will give investment priority to 21 key projects.

At the conference of potential investors, the province announced special preferential policies for attracting investment to domestic and foreign investors. The important policies initiated by the province were related to taxes on land use right, land and water rentals and corporate income tax.

In addition, the province also pledged to initiate other policies to assist investors, such as labour training costs, land clearance, and technical infrastructure.
