Quang Binh: Solar power project to benefit remote areas

 (Quang Binh Portal) - Prime Minister has recently approved the adjustment of investment policy for Quang Binh solar power project funded by the official development assistance (ODA) loans from the Republic of Korea (RoK).

Accordingly, the project aims to supply solar power to remote areas for Quang Binh people who have been living without access to power from the national grid.

Location for construction of the project includes 8 communes of Quang Binh province, namely Ngan Thuy and Kim Thuy (Le Thuy district); Truong Xuan and Truong Son (Quang Ninh district); Thuong Trach, Tan Trach and Son Trach (Bo Trach district); Trong Hoa (Minh Hoa district).

Major output of the province is designed to provide solar power to about 1,200 families and public service units at over 40 villages of 8 border communes outside the reach of the national grid.

Duration for the project is expected to be completed by the beginning of July of 2018.
