Quang Binh approves project on General Vo Nguyen Giap statue construction
(Quang Binh Portal) - The Provincial People"s Committee has recently issued Decision No. 2857/QD-UBND approving a project on building General Vo Nguyen Giap statue and park in Bao Ninh commune, Dong Hoi city, according to information from the Office of the Provincial People"s Committee.
Accordingly, the project has a total area of 2.3 hectares with a total investment of approximately VND65 billion from source of State budget and other legal capital mobilization.
The project is located in the intersection at the five-way crossroads between the 36m road and Vo Nguyen Giap road in Bao Ninh commune, Dong Hoi city.
Duration for the project is expected to last from 2018-2020.
Construction of General Vo Nguyen Giap statue and park aims to commemorate great contributions of General Vo Nguyen Giap to the cause of national liberation.
This is a symbol of community culture for local people and tourists to visit and relax; it is also a place where takes place a series of outdoor cultural activities of Dong Hoi city and Quang Binh province.
