Activities to mark Miss Grand International 2017 in Quang Binh take place from October 9-14
Under the plan, the Miss Grand International 2017 will run from October 5 to 26 in Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Binh and Phu Quoc of Kien Giang province, and is expected to attract tourists to these destinations.
The Miss Grand International 2017 is expected to draw 90 contestants from across the world, with Nguyen Tran Huyen My, runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2014, representing Vietnam.
Quang Binh, home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, is the venue for the final of the national costume contest.
Accordingly, a series of activities to mark Miss Grand International 2017 will take place from October 9-14, including: a parade on main streets of Dong Hoi city, the final of the national costume contest at Sun Spa Resort, charity activities and some programs to popularize Sun Spa Resort, Thien Duong cave and traditional trade villages of the province, etc.
The Miss Grand International 2017 will broadcast live on television channels of many countries in the world. The organizing board will also organize a series of companion programmes which will be updated daily on the internet.
At the meeting, delegates spent much time on exchanging and discussing preparations for the event such as specific assignments, security guarantee, procedures for exit and entry, temporary residence, healthcare, volunteers, posters, etc.
The organizing board also selected special images and messages to spread the land and people of Quang Binh to foreign and domestic friends during the Miss Grand International 2017 in Quang Binh.
