Department of Construction deploys regulations on urban architecture management
The Decree includes 5 chapters and 29 articles, stipulating about management of urban architecture such as: regulations on urban landscape, houses and light; construction, renovation or embellishment and maintenance of urban architectural works; right and responsibility of competent authorities.
According to this Decree, urban architectural works which are built, renovated or repaired must comply with Vietnam’s architecture development orientations; be safe and sustainable for use and suitable to all subjects having access to them. The construction, renovation or upgrading of urban architectural works must be approved by a competent authority and comply with construction permits as well as the Regulation on urban architecture management of localities.
For ancient houses or streets in ancient quarters or places already ranked as relics, urban authorities shall study and adopt solutions to preserve their specific architectural features. The renovation or embellishment of dwelling houses in old streets on the list of those subject to conservation must comply with the detailed construction planning or the upgrading project approved by a competent authority.
The effective implementation of this Decree in the Departments and branches will contribute to management of urban architecture in Dong Hoi, building Dong Hoi to become a civilized, clean and modern city.
