Music performances to welcome the opening ceremony of the 2008-2009 academic year

Quang Binh University was established according to Decision No.237/QB-TTg dated October 24 2006 of the Prime Minister on basis of Quang Binh Pedagogy College which was formerly established in 1959. After nearly a half of century of building and developing, Quang Binh University has gained great achievements in teaching and studying. So far, Quang Binh University has associated with 29 foreign universities and sent 127 students for studying in nine universities of Thailand, appointed more than 200 cadres to study and research in big universities in the world.

This year, Quang Binh University opens 28 new majors, increasing the total number of trained majors to 71 majors, including 11 majors at university level, 48 at college level and 12 at intermediate level. It also assists Laos in training students and now there are 34 Lao students studying in Quang Binh University.
The goal in the 2008-2009 academic year, Quang Binh University will continue to implement well campaign entitled "Each teacher should set an example of morality, self-study and creativity" and the theme of the new academic year of this year entitled "Promoting information technology application, renewing financial management", improve the quality of teacher staff, renovate method of teaching and studying, upgrade and facilitate equipment and infrastructure, meeting the demand of teaching and studying.

On this occasion, acting on the Prime Minister’s authority, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong granted Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister to three teachers for excellent achievements; Certificate of Merit of the Provincial People’s Committee to three collectives and seven individuals for brilliant achievements; granted the merit of model workers at provincial level to four individuals; awarded excellent emulation flag of the Vietnam Labor General Confederation to the Union of Quang Binh University. Besides, Quang Binh University also presented Certificate of Merit to six students who were the first in the university entrance exam of the 2008-2009 academic year.
