Industrial production index in eight months grew by 6% from the same period
(Quang Binh Portal) - According to information from the Department of Industry and Trade, industrial production index in August of 2017 was estimated to increase by 1.7% from last month and 7.1% from the same period last year.
In the first eight months of 2017, industrial production index climbed to 6% from the same period last year. In industrial sectors, the mining rose by 6.6%; the processing and manufacturing went up to 5.9%; power production and distribution grew by 3.9%; water supply and waste and waster water disposal rose by 3.7%.
In addition, many industrial products in August have seen a fair growth in comparison with the same period last year. Concretely, building stone went up to 6%, shirt rose by 13.8%, cement increased by 4.1%, clinker up 9.7%, trade electricity up 3.8%, running water up 3.8%, etc.
However, some products have reduced in comparison with the same period last year such as fertilizers, rubber, ceremic brick, etc.
