Tourists to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park highly increase on September 2nd holiday
(Quang Binh Portal) - According to the Management Board of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, 13,184 tourists visited to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park during the three-day National Day holiday (September 2nd), equaled 137.9% compared to the same period last year, including 1,918 foreigners, equaled 124.2%; total revenues reached over VND2.1 billion, equaled 139.8% from the same period last year.
Phong Nha - Ke Bang Tourism Center alone welcomed 9,895 tourists, of which 1,389 foreigners; revenues reached more than VND1,24 billion, equaled 133.7% from the same period last year.
This year, many destinations attracted a large number of tourists such as Nuoc Mooc spring, Chay River - Dark Cave, Tam Co Cave, Thien Duong Cave, Botanical Garden, etc.
In order to ensure security, social safety and order at tourist sites during the three-day holiday, the Management Board of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park has strengthened forest protection, forest fire prevention, tourist reception; closely coordinated with local authority in the bufferzone to strengthen work of patrol in order to prevent illegal wildlife hunting and logging, etc.
