In the first 6 months of 2019, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park organized 922 forest protection patrols, destroyed 07 illegally camps, dismantled 302 trap wires, prevented 132 groups of people from illegally entering the forest; promptly discovered and extinguished the fire in the area managed by U Bo Forest Protection Station. It was estimated that at the end of July 15, 2019, the Park Management Board discovered and issued a decision handling 33 cases of committing administrative violations and a case of illegal violation (transferred the documents to the Investigation Police Agency for issuing a decision to prosecute); confiscated 0.123 m3 of wood, 82.8 kg of orchid, 04 kg of Narra Padauk, 370 kg of rattan, an animal individual and 3.4 kg of animal body parts, 21 manual tools, 04 iron boats, 02 homemade guns, etc. The total amount of penalties collected from administrative violations and confiscated assets to complement the State budget was more than VND 88 million; by the end of 2019, the target of reducing the rate of forest law violations will be estimated at less than 50%, 100% of the forest law violators in the area will be verified to clarify and handle according to regulations.

Besides, thanks to the concentration on promoting the heritage values in a sustainable way and simultaneously developing attractive, new and high-quality tourism products; therefore, by the end of July 31, 2019, the total the number of visitors to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park World Natural Heritage reached 746,330 arrivals, an increase of nearly 14% over the same period; including domestic visitors was 630,690 arrivals, up 16.5% and international visitors was 115,645 arrivals, up 1.85%. Total revenue at tourist destinations and routes in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park was estimated at more than VND 214.3 billion, up 4.30% against the same period. By the end of December 31, 2019; the total number of tourists to the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park will achieve an estimate of 953,860 arrivals, a rise of about 14%; the revenue will be estimated at VND 281.3 billion, up 4.60%.

In addition, the Management Board of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park also continues to effectively implement the program of breeding the species of rare and precious native plants having conservation and high economic values; take care of and rescue wildlife plants and animals; supervise the biodiversity as well as carry out the action plan of conserving primate species; observe and assess the impact of tourism activities on caves in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.
