Quang Ninh district held an anniversary to mark its 20th reestablishment

Permanent Vice-chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Cong Thuat, representatives of departments and branches at provincial level, heroic Vietnamese mothers, hero of the people's armed forces in the district attended the anniversary.
On July 1st, 1990, Quang Ninh district was reestablished in according to Decision No.190/QD/HDBT (Government). After separated from Le Ninh district, despite of coping with many difficulties and challenges, with the great efforts and support of the Central and provincial authorities, Quang Ninh district has gradually overcome initial difficulties, effectively implementing socio-economic targets in the district.

After 20 year of reestablishment, Quang Ninh has remained a high growth rate; economic structure has shifted onto right direction, increasing ratio of industry and services. In 2009, the total of budget revenue achieved over VND61 billion; food production reached 41,000 tonnes, the total production of fishery was estimated at 2,900 tonnes, 5 times in comparison with year 1990. So far, 15/15 communes and wards has completed the primary and secondary compulsory education; rate of poor household has reduced by 4% a year on average; annually solving jobs for more than 2,500 laborers, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life for local people.
Addressing the anniversary, Permanent Vice-chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee praised and highly appreciated the effort made by the Party Committee and people of Quang Ninh district in the past 20 years and asked the district need to make full use of all resources to successfully carry out the district’s socio-economic development tasks.
