Dong Hoi City: rate of poor households reduces by 2 percent
(Quang Binh Website) - After three years of implementing Resolution No.05/NQ-TU on building and developing Dong Hoi city till 2015, the city's economy has continuously reached a high growth rate, 14 percent a year on an average.
The total budget revenue in 2010 reached VND423.24 billion, rate of growth reached 16.5% a year; export turnover reached US$54 million; average income per capita reached US$1,150.
In addition, many big changes have been seen in cultural and social fields; the spiritual and material life of the people has been improved step by step. Concretely, 87.5 percent of communes and wards reached the national standards on health; 13 out of 16 communes and wards reached secondary compulsory education; 80 percent of schools reached the national standards; 6,000 - 6,500 laborers were provided with stable jobs; rate of poor households reduced by 2 percent, etc.
