Quang Binh Province conducts investment and tourism promotion activities in Belgium

(Quang Binh Portal) - On June 6, 2025 (local time) in Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium, Quang Binh delegation participated in promotional activities for investment and tourism as part of the “Program for Promoting Vietnamese Localities” held in the Czech Republic and Belgium. The program was jointly organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassies in the respective countries and the People’s Committees of the provinces and cities: Quang Binh, Bac Lieu, Vinh Long, Hue, and Phu Yen.

The Quang Binh delegation was led by Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Doan Ngoc Lam. The delegation also included Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Cong Huan; Provincial Party Member, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy; and representatives of leaders from the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee, Department of Finance, and Department of Science and Technology.

In the morning, the delegation held a working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium - the Vietnamese Delegation to the European Union. Attending the session were Mr. Nguyen Van Thao, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Head of the Vietnamese Delegation to the European Union, as well as representative leaders from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives from the participating People’s Committees of the provinces and cities.

During the session, Permanent Vice Chairman Doan Ngoc Lam presented Quang Binh’s master plans and orientations for sustainable green development, key sectors, and prioritized investment projects. He also proposed that the Embassy provide support in facilitating connections and promoting growth in tourism, renewable energy, agriculture, trade, science and technology, and digital transformation in the Belgian and broader European markets.

Ambassador Nguyen Van Thao highly appreciated Quang Binh’s tourism development potential and the overall economic and social development strengths of the localities; shared insights into European markets and addressed matters of support and cooperation with the provinces and cities.

The delegation attends the seminar “Five Years of Implementing the EVFTA Agreement and Its Prospects”

In the afternoon, the delegation attended the seminar titled “Five Years of Implementing the EVFTA Agreement and Its Prospects.” The event featured Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang, Vietnamese Ambassadors to European countries, representatives from the Ministries of Agriculture and Environment, leaders from the People’s Committees of Quang Binh, Bac Lieu, Vinh Long, Hue, Phu Yen, and Ho Chi Minh City, delegations from Vietnam, and various organizations and businesses across Europe.

Alongside the seminar, the delegation showcased and promoted tourism images of Quang Binh through publications, brochures, videos, QR codes, and meetings with European businesses as well as Vietnamese associations and organizations in European countries.

On June 7 (local time), the delegation is scheduled to continue with a series of important activities, including promotional events, networking, working sessions, and signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) for cooperation agreements with European partners.
